The Department of Tourism of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar and the General Chapter of Processions of Holy Week this year has organized the fifth edition of this photo contest with the intention of promoting and disseminating the processions of Holy Week, declared of Regional Tourist Interest.

Last Thursday, May 3, at the Center for Tourism Initiatives, the jury met with experts in photography and members related to the Holy Week in the municipality, who made their decision known among the 37 photographs submitted to the contest, the image being the one won by Pedro Javier Sáez Ferrer.

The photograph stands out for its originality and composition, showing in the foreground the image of Jesus Nazareno, dressed in a purple tunic, which hides his face behind the cross carried on his shoulders, while in the background we can see the bell tower of the Church of San Pedro Apóstol on the night of Good Friday.

The Department of Tourism and the General Chapter of Processions thanks the 14 participants for sending their photographs and their contribution to promote and disseminate the Holy Week in Pinar del Rio.
