The Civil Guard detained four minors linked to a youth group dedicated to home theft dismantled in 2017 (04/05/2018)

It is a second phase of the operation INFANTEM in which nine youths were arrested for, at least, 48 crimes of theft in real estate

Two of those arrested were also arrested in the first part of the investigation

The balance of the operation has been settled with the clarification of 60 robberies committed in homes, schools, public establishments and vehicles, as well as the crime of drug trafficking at retail

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the operation 'INFANTEM' and 'INFANTEM II', has arrested 11 minors, members of a criminal group based in San Pedro del Pinatar, nine of whose members were arrested at the end of last year as alleged perpetrators of 48 crimes of robbery with force and crime of drug trafficking retail.

In this second phase of the investigation 12 crimes of robbery with force have been clarified, with a general balance of the operation of 60 enlightened crimes.

The first part of the investigation, called operation 'INFANTEM', was developed late last year, when the Benemérita arrested nine young people eight of them minors and investigated two others for the alleged responsibility of 48 crimes of theft with force in real estate.

In that first phase, entry and registration was carried out in five dwellings, where numerous stolen objects were recovered, such as tools, electronic devices and household appliances.

In addition, 50 grams of hashish were seized.

Specializing in robberies using the technique of escalo

The analysis of the information made it possible to find out that this was an active criminal group, of a juvenile nature, dedicated to robbery using the climbing technique, in houses and establishments that, after having been dismantled, could have been reorganized to continue with their illicit activities .

The Civil Guard has continued the investigation to find out that two of them were, allegedly, after other robberies committed in real estate in the area, some of which had been assaulted with the same modus operandi: the escalo.

Once obtained the necessary evidence that linked these suspects with the authorship of the crimes investigated, they have been located and detained along with two other minors.

There are four minors, residents of San Pedro del Pinatar, who are allegedly responsible for at least 12 crimes of burglary in buildings.

The development of both phases of the operation 'INFANTEM' has made it clear that this is an important and active criminal group dedicated to theft with force in homes, schools, public establishments and vehicles, as well as the retail drug trafficking, which acted both in San Pedro del Pinatar and in neighboring towns and whose criminal activity had generated some social alarm.

The total of enlightened crimes amount to 60 robberies with force.

The four juvenile detainees and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction number of San Javier and the Office of Minors of Murcia.

Three of the arrested have entered Child Centers in the Region.
