El Cabrero, Lole Montoya, Potito and Alba Heredia, at the XXIII Flamenco Festival of San Pedro del Pinatar (09/05/2018)

The XXIII Flamenco Festival of San Pedro del Pinatar, a tribute to Camarón de la Isla, will gather next July 14 this great cast of artists in the park of La Aduana.

The Councilor for Culture of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, and the flamenco entrepreneur and promoter of the festival, Antonio Montoya, today presented the twenty-third edition of the Flamenco Festival of San Pedro del Pinatar, in memory of José Monge "Camarón de la Isla ", which will be held on July 14, in the Parque de La Aduana.

Silvia Egea recalled that the festival was born to honor Camarón de La Isla and that this year it continues with the aim of bringing flamenco closer to all audiences, since they have integrated established artists with new values ​​of song, touch and dance, They will meet in a single night in a large poster.

In this edition, San Pedro del Pinatar starts the program with the help of four great artists such as Antonio Montoya 'El Cabrero', Lole Montoya, 'Potito' and Alba Heredia.

Antonio Montoya has stressed that José Domínguez 'El Cabrero' is a cantaor with a singular personality, who has recorded 17 flamenco albums and two of tango porteño, although he is best known for his fandangos.

The next July 14 will be accompanied by Manuel Herrera on guitar.

Lole Montoya, known for the duo Lole and Manuel, is one of the biggest contributors in the transformation of flamenco, besides being considered one of the most perfect voices of the current panorama and will be accompanied by the guitar of Manuel de la Luz to the park Customs.

Antonio Vargas 'Potito' has remembered his career and his admiration since childhood for the greats such as Camarón, he has sung with Tomatito and for the great Paco de Lucía and is a great reference in the cante gitano, his next work will be produced by Vicente Amigo .

Finally, in the dance will be Alba Heredia, young person belonging to the lineage of the Maya, of which the promoter of the festival has emphasized "the strength, energy and claw of their dances, referring to the Granaína school of the caves of Sacromonte" .

In addition, she is the winner of the Desplante Prize at the Cante de las Minas de la Unión Festival and in San Pedro del Pinatar she will close the festival with her show Aire Nuevo, accompanied by Luis Mariano Renedo, on guitar and cante, Jovi Cortés, Juan Ángel Tirado and Rafi Heredia.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased at ticketmaster, El Corte Inglés, Casa de la Cultura, Tourism Office and the Barón de Benifayó Museum in San Pedro del Pinatar.

The entrance fee is 20 euros in advance and 22 euros at the box office on the day of the festival.
