The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, today received the pitcher Paulina Vallejo, neighbor of the town and who, after obtaining three medals in discus throw, weight and hammer, at the European Masters held in March in Madrid, will participate in the World Championships of athletics veterans, which takes place from 4 to 16 September in Malaga.

This 77-year-old athlete based in San Pedro del Pinatar won a gold medal in the European tournament held in March, with a record of 20.25 meters, in the category of more than 75 years, in the which also obtained two silvers by weight (8.01 meters) and hammers (24.68 meters).
