The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the representatives of the stationers and bookstores of the town have signed an agreement today for aid in the acquisition of school material in early childhood education for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The City of San Pedro del Pinatar and stationery Gama, Arco, Distinct Advertising Workshop, Lopez, Friends Foundation of the Educational Center San Pedro Apóstol, Copiplus and Mail Pinatar have signed today an agreement of educational cooperation through which will be managed 200 grants of 50 euros for the acquisition of school materials for students in the second cycle of early childhood education.
Thus, the Department of Education will allocate 10,000 euros to these grants, so that a check will be delivered to the beneficiary that can be exchanged at the collaborating stationery or school centers for the school material requested by the different educational centers.
The Mayoress, Visitación Martínez, explained that this agreement aims to guarantee the proper destination of the aid offered in children and also contributes to making these purchases at the beginning of the course, to a large extent, in local commerce, in the paper shops and bookstores of the municipality that sign the agreement.
In this regard, he thanked the local stationers for their collaboration in the proper functioning of these grants, a procedure that has been consolidated and improved over the last years and that this year has been extended to two new collaborating establishments.
This measure is part of the educational aid program for the 2018-2019 academic year which is endowed with a total of 35,000 euros for children's education, mobility of university students, training courses that are studying in the municipality, excellent students and the Bank. of Municipal Books.
