The Víctor Villegas Auditorium of Murcia hosted on Thursday, December 27, the awards ceremony for sports merit awards 2018, granted by the Autonomous Community and the Sports Press Association of the Region of Murcia in which, among others, the sports complex Pinatar Arena won recognition for the Best Sport Management Work as a reference training center for national and international teams.

In addition, during the gala was given a special mention to the Association Aidemar, for his career in the field of adapted sports and was awarded the first prize of the IV Contest of Writing Sports Merit 'José Francisco Pérez Sánchez' Candela Ruíz Moreno, student sixth grade of the school Villa Alegría, for his work 'Difficult does not mean impossible'.

The Councilor for Sports, Javier Castejón, accompanied the winners in this gala and highlighted the work of Pinatar Arena as "an example of entrepreneurship in the sports area, which has helped to position the name of San Pedro del Pinatar internationally, thanks to football".

He also congratulated Aidemar, for the great work of integration they develop in all areas, and Candela Ruíz "who, through his writing, claims equality in the world of sports, in addition to the importance of values ​​such as effort, persistence and the job".
