Diego López wins the IV Contest of Nativity Scenes and Botitas Infantil the best Christmas showcase (29/12/2018)

During the gala, which was enlivened by the rondalla Viejas Glorias and a Christmas poetry recital, the draw for the "Christmas in San Pedro" campaign was also held.

The municipal tent, located in the fairground hosted on Friday, December 28, the Awards Ceremony of the fourth edition of Christmas nativity scenes and window displays, with a large participation this year in both categories.

Thus, the jury, composed of the Festival Committee of San Pedro del Pinatar, was commissioned to visit the 14 participating nativity scenes and the thirty shop window contest establishments, to assess the composition, originality, color and lighting of the compositions presented to competition.

The mayor, Visitación Martínez, and the councilman of Celebrations, Javier Castejón, were in charge of delivering the prizes.

In the crib contest, the first prize, worth 250 euros, went to Diego López Tárraga, while the second prize, with a prize of 150 euros, was Anabel Pellicer, and the third (100 euros) went to Antonio Mora.

In addition, a prize of 100 euros was awarded for the best family nativity scene to Esther Peláez.

For its part, the children's fashion store Botitas won the first prize, also worth 250 euros, in the Shop window contest;

while Librería Papelería Arco, obtained the second prize of 150 euros, and Elegantísima received the third prize, endowed with 100 euros.

In addition, during the gala the mayor, Visitation Martinez and the councilor of Commerce, Lydia Sanchez, accompanied by José Luis Oliván as representative of the Association of Pinatarenses Entrepreneurs, made the drawing of the 6 ballots awarded in the campaign 'Christmas in San Pedro' , in which 80 shops participated during the month of December, which have distributed more than 20,000 shares.

The six winners will be able to exchange a check of 50 euros in the different participating establishments.

The gala was enlivened by the rondalla de Pilar de la Horada 'Viejas Glorias' and a Christmas poetry recital, given by Vicente García Hernández, who was a parish priest in the town and with a wide literary career;

María Corpas, and the interpretation of José María Vázquez and Mª Carmen Pablos.
