The municipality joins this activity, framed in the programming of the International Women's Day, to the international festival "Grito de Mujer" which aims to denounce inequality through the arts.
The Constitution Square of San Pedro del Pinatar, hosted on Thursday, March 22, the International Festival "Cry of Women", which for the second year was held in the town under the slogan "Scream for me" which aims to give voice to women sunk by abuse, harassment and disparagement through literature.
The artistic encounter was attended by the Mayor, Visitación Martínez, the Councilor for Equality, Guadalupe García and numerous public that, despite the cold, joined to enhance the role of women in society and raise awareness of the different types of violence suffered by women throughout the world.
The event was part of the programming of International Women's Day and featured stories and poems by Ewal Carrión, Charo García, David Delgado, Tania Fernández, Gema Bocardo, coordinator of the event, Alejandro Cabrera and Blanca Nieves Pérez Francia, as well as the music of Sergio Vellido and Lucía Cerezo.
