More than 300 athletes participated last Saturday, April 13, in the eleventh edition of this event, included in the official calendar of the Federation of Triathlon of the Region of Murcia.
San Pedro del Pinatar welcomed 300 athletes who had to face 750 meters of swimming on the beach of La Llana, 21 kilometers of bicycle and 5 kilometers of running on foot with Salida y Meta in the Marina of Las Salinas. the Marina de las Salinas Marina.
This appointment is an official test in the 2019 calendar of the Federation of Triathlon of the Region of Murcia and is organized by the sports club 30 7 40, with the collaboration of the Murcian Triathlon Federation and the City Council, and sponsored by Marina Sports Dársena of the Salinas.
The good weather accompanied the athletes in a test that started at 5:00 pm with the swim test at Playa de La Llana, followed by the bike sector and the race on foot around the Marina de Las Salinas and the Carretera del Puerto, ending at the Marina de las Salinas Marina.
The winner of the test, with a time of 59 minutes and 24 seconds, was Luis Santos, of the University of Alicante, followed by Daniel Pla Escobar, who was proclaimed regional champion of Triathlon, of the club Murcia Murcia Unidata (1:00: 10) and, in third position, by Héctor Pujante, of CT Arabi Yecla-Katlike (1:00:28)
In the women's category, the best time and the regional triathlon championship was for Amelia Ayuso, from the Primaflor Águilas Triathlon Club, with 1 hour, 10 minutes and 59 seconds, followed by Beatriz Ortin Azorin, from Arcade Inforhouse Santiago (1:11:35 ) and Esther Bayón (1:11:50).
