The Via Crucis Holy Wednesday, in which prayer walking in the 14 stations of the Passion of Jesus Christ and Calvary, gathered last night to hundreds of faithful in the coastal village of Lo Pagán.

The image of Cristo del Mar Menor, Murcia work of sculptor Antonio Garcia Mengual, left at 22:00 of the Church of Our Lady of Carmen, where the Via Crucis began to the chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption in Villananitos.

The Cristo del Mar Menor, carried by 40 shelves, does much of its route parallel to the sea, making it the only procession that takes place on the shores of the Mar Menor.
