The number of registered unemployed in March in San Pedro del Pinatar stood at 2,315 unemployed, representing a reduction of 115 unemployed from the previous month and 201 unemployed over the same month of 2015. This completes a total 27 consecutive months of annual decline in unemployment data.
Unemployment has declined in all age sectors, mainly among people aged 25 to 44, with 91 fewer unemployed, while by sectors, in services is where most have fallen, with 103 fewer unemployed.
As for the data to social security affiliation in February 2016 (latest month for which data are available municipalized), the number stood at 6,327, representing an increase of 4 contributors more, 0.06 % increase over the situation in February (6,323 members).
Councilman Employment municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, Jose Fernandez Andreo, highlighted the positive trend in employment data registered in the municipality, because unemployment is down 4.73 percent in March, putting the unemployment figure below the levels of March 2010, when unemployment stood at 2,468 people.
