City and FCC, through Ecolimpia campaign, sensitize on the importance of recycling (15/04/2016)

A total of 90 children in fifth and sixth grade of primary education schools in San Pedro del Pinatar, participated for the third consecutive year in this campaign promoting recycling.

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia and the provincial delegate of FCC in Alicante and Murcia, Fernando de Mateo, has presented today the awards Ecolimpia campaign, which this company has developed in collaboration with the city in schools Villa Joy, hopes, Antolinos, Maspalomas and Los Pinos.

The mayor explained that this awareness campaign about recycling aims to raise awareness and attitudes in school about the importance of properly separate the different types of packaging at source.

For his part, Fernando de Mateo has stressed the importance of this type of environmental awareness campaigns and thanked the host by the educational community of San Pedro del Pinatar.

Through the campaign "clean-City School clean" has informed the participating students how to reduce waste at home and at school, the types of waste, how to separate them, their fate and environmental benefits of recycling between Other themes.

After the talks, the children have captured through drawings and illustrations, information on the importance of recycling.

The first prize of a tablet for the student and one for the school, has been for Ana Maria Martin Sanchez (CEIP Los Antolinos).

While the second prize, a bicycle, went to Joaquín Pardo Arce (CBM Villa Joy) and the third prize, a Smartphone, it has been for Jorge Delgado Sánchez (CBM Maspalomas).

The finalists have been conducted by Fernando Lozano (CBM Los Pinos), Cristobal Moya (CBM Los Pinos), Antonio Jesus Lopez (CBM Los Pinos), Daniel Martinez (CBM Villa Joy), Celia Martinez (CBM Maspalomas), Alba Muñoz (CBM Los Pinos) and Maria Transit Quinde (CEIP Hopes).
