Researchers, academics and experts in plant nutrition participate in these scientific conference organized by the Spanish and Portuguese Societies of Plant Physiology.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, president of the organizing committee, Francisco del Amor, President of the Spanish Society of Plant Physiology, Aurelio Gómez, and the general director of Agrifood Innovation, today inaugurated the Symposium XVI Spanish- Luso Mineral Nutrition of plants, developed in the area until 28 September.
This international meeting brings together researchers, academics, technical and other experts from the public and private sectors involved in the field of plant nutrition.
Subject areas covered physiological and molecular aspects of the acquisition and distribution of nutrients, crop nutrition and product quality, ecology and sustainable production, fertilizer production, environmental science and related disciplines.
The mayor stressed the importance of this field of research in the region of Murcia and invited speakers to know San Pedro del Pinatar during their stay in the city.
Meanwhile, Juana Mulero stressed that these meetings are a platform for developing serious research proposals that can then move to the field of agriculture.
