Citizens have denounced that the City of San Pedro del Pinatar breaches the law of safety, hygiene and occupational health by not taking the appropriate measures to protect the personnel in charge of pruning and sanitation of trees in the municipality.
Citizens consider it inadmissible that the personnel in charge of these tasks do not have the necessary safety measures to comply with regulations that minimize the possibility of an accident that could affect both the workers and the pedestrians.
As highlighted by José Luis Ros, spokesperson for the orange formation: "that a company endangers its workers is very serious, but that the city council itself is much worse."
Recently there have been photographed on the streets of the town staff responsible for the pruning of some trees that perform their work without any kind of protection measure and non-compliance with safety obligations aimed at avoiding accidents.
Ros said that "an immediate investigation must be opened and debug responsibilities to know who has endangered these workers, since the City Council would have been responsible for any damage to their safety or that of any citizen."
Among the imprudences that have been observed is the work of pruning equipment of a single person;
The absence of signaling, or the late placement thereof;
Work with chainsaw in height with manual stairs and the omission of use of elevators or scaffolds that offer a collective security.
