Tourism offers seven different itineraries to know the regional park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro (16/02/2017)

From February to December 2017 the council of tourism offers 20 routes of these free visits that allow the visitor to know different aspects of this natural space.

The councilor of Tourism of San Pedro del Pinatar, Silvia Egea, and the environmental guide Diana Saura today presented the program of free guided tours in the regional park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro.

Silvia Egea has highlighted the great acceptance of this proposal since its implementation in 2013, which began with a single route and now reaches 20 scheduled visits, 18 in Spanish and two in English, between February and December.

It has had an impact on the importance of publicizing this space, which has a great environmental and landscape richness, so that different proposals are included, with the objective of reaching all the public, from shorter and simpler routes, oriented to families, to other Bird-centered, or night-time routes under the full moon.

The program will begin on Sunday, February 26 with the two-hour "Life in the World of Salt" route, and after having visited the Las Salinas Visitor Center, you will stroll along the walkways that line the salt ponds Until arriving at the Pinar de Coterillo, in a route of two kilometers.

This route will also take place on 12 November and its English version, "Life in the world of salt", will be on 12 March and 11 June.

The "Senda de Coterillo";

Scheduled for April 2, September 24 and December 3;

Is a slightly longer route, with 3.8 kilometers and 3 hours in duration and in it the white and green marks of the local trail are observed to see birds from the observatories and to identify the flora and fauna of the park.

You will also walk along the shore of a natural beach.

On May 14, September 3 and October 8, the "Ornithological Route" will be held, focusing on the observation of numerous species of birds that live and visit this enclave.

To realize it is essential to use binoculars.

As a novelty this year, the "Senda de Los Tarays" route, 3.5 kilometers and 2 hours long, is introduced, exploring the park from the north and taking the visitor to the natural beach of El Mojón.

"Noche de luna llena" will be held on June 23, July 21 and August 18, from the Quintín Mill until reaching Punta de Algas, starting at 8:00 p.m.

On the "life on a natural beach" route, which will be held on July 9 and August 6, you will walk along the shore of a natural beach to observe the oceanic posidonia and crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.

This visit lasts two hours and covers 4 kilometers.

The program also includes on July 28 and August 11 the visit "Discover the regional park through a target", a landscape and photographic route that invites you to capture the pink color of the saline ponds or the twisted shapes of the pines Executioners
