The Department of Social Welfare develops this initiative in the local institutes, aimed at students aged 14 to 16, with the aim of preventing violent behavior, destroying false taboos and providing a fuller view of sexuality.
The Department of Social Welfare, through the Family program, gives from March this workshop on "sexuality and prevention of gender violence" at the institutes Dos Mares and Manuel Tárraga Escribano, students of third and fourth ESO
This initiative, carried out by the social educator Mª Ángeles Rosique, unifies the previously independent workshops, increasing the time in each of the groups and using a new methodology.
Thus, each workshop will consist of five one-hour sessions in which group dynamics, debate, documentary projection, aimed at the retraining and mobilization of sexist or irrational ideas that may be at the basis of the violence of gender;
While demystifying certain aspects related to sexuality.
In addition, a questionnaire will be conducted among young people in the first and last six, in order to check how their thinking evolves after this activity.
This training and preventive action is complemented by the networking that is developed from Social Services with other institutions involved in the prevention and care of gender violence, such as courts, health centers, Civil Guard, etc.
