The Center for Leisure and Emerging Arts of San Pedro del Pinatar will host this training action, aimed at young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee program and funded by the Regional Employment Service (SEF).
The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the Councilor for Employment, José Fernández, and the tutor of this training course given by Cruz Roja, Beatriz Inchaurrandieta, today presented this course aimed at training young people to work in hospitality.
Visación Martínez has highlighted the importance of developing this type of training courses aimed at actively seeking employment in particularly vulnerable sectors such as young people under 30 years.
He also recalled that, with the help of the SEF, the City of San Pedro del Pinatar promotes and collaborates with different initiatives included in the Youth Guarantee program to improve the employability of this group.
For her part, Beatriz Inchaurrandieta, from the Red Cross Employment Plan, explained that the course will consist of 295 hours and three months of duration, two theoretical training and one of practices in restaurants or bars in the area.
A total of 16 young people from San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier will take part in this course, which will be taught at the Leisure and Emerging Arts Center and in which, in addition to the specific training of the certificate of professionalism, other modules will be addressed to help Young people to confront the labor market and improve their personal skills, as well as new technologies or a module with which they obtain the title of food handler.
The young people will do the practical part, which consists of 80 hours, during the month of June in companies in the area that have previously signed an agreement for non-workable training practices.
