Santiago Hernández won the award for best account of local author for the text, "I miss you"

San Pedro del Pinatar celebrated yesterday the Day of the Book with the award of the IV Competition of micro-narratives La Sal, organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with Salinera Española.

This contest, asked the participants to tell a story in less than 150 words with salt as a protagonist and with the aim of encouraging and rewarding the creative and literary spirit around one of the most representative elements of the municipality.

The jury, composed by the cultural manager, Ángel Salcedo;

The writer Francisco Sánchez Lizón Pinatarense and the journalist Emilio Tomás García, awarded the first prize, endowed with 200 euros and accésit, to the micro-story "Sal de vida", by Francisco Ferrer Carbonell;

While "Te echo de menos", by Santiago Hernández Sáez, won the award for best account of local author, endowed with 100 euros and second prize.

The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez and the Councilor for Culture, Silvia Egea, presented the prizes to both authors in this significant event that ended a week of activities to mark the Day of the Book.
