The pensioners of San Pedro del Pinatar have made two visits during the month of May, one of them to know the museum of the garden and another to the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales, on the occasion of the European Day of the Natura 2000 Network.
The largest of the homes of San Pedro and Lo Pagán moved on May 12 and 19 to the town of Alcantarilla to visit the museum of the orchard and learn about the life of the orchards, their customs and how they work.
In addition, they were able to get acquainted with the popular Alcantarilla Ferris wheel, which continues to supply irrigation water to the orchards, in addition to visiting the recreation of a typical huertan tent and a collection of galley and tartan carts.
On the other hand, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and the Visitor Center las Salinas, the majors enjoyed last May 23, European Day of the Natura Network, a guided tour of the regional park Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro .
After an informative talk at the Visitor Center, the elders conducted a three-kilometer guided tour of the Regional Park, where they were able to discover the most unique flora and fauna species in this protected area.
