Allegro travels five centuries of music in the streets and squares of San Pedro del Pinatar (15/10/2017)

The Orfeón Fernández Caballero and the Ciudad de Murcia orchestra, Cammerata chamber orchestra and the On Danse duo flooded the most emblematic squares and spaces of San Pedro del Pinatar with concerts at the foot of the street where the audience could also enjoy a Gastronomic selection marinated with Murcian products.

The music festival in urban spaces Allegro successfully held its first edition yesterday, taking to the squares and streets of San Pedro del Pinatar some of the best orchestras and instrumental groups in the Region.

A musical walk that also invited the attendees to enjoy a vermouth, a coffee or a wine, accompanied by delicious products of the land.

Thus, after the opening concert of Friday, September 13 at the Aula de Cajamurcia, where the instrumental ensemble Ars Futura reviewed the proposals of contemporary music;

the day of Saturday began with the "Vermut de Cámara" in the place of the Constitution, in charge of Cammerata chamber orchestra, with the pairing of the Jumillian winery Gente de Mal Vivir and the tapas of The Factory Burgers and more.

Cammerata, composed by young musicians resident of the Superior Conservatory of Murcia, selected themes from the Baroque, interpreting pieces of 17th century authors by authors like Corelli, Geminiani and Steffani.

The historic café, run by the duo On Danse, brought the attendants to the Spanish courts from the 15th to the 18th centuries.

In the neomudejar environment of the Baron de Benifayó Palace, the harpsichordist Anabel Sáez and the historical dancer Eva Narejos reviewed the evolution of dance and music over more than three centuries in a didactic and interactive concert, in which they invited the public to dance.

The gastronomic note was run by the coffee shop El Soldadito de Plomo.

Allegro closed its first edition with a crowded concert in the crowded plaza of Spain by Orfeón Fernández Caballero and the Ciudad de Murcia orchestra, in a program where the musical tradition of the Region took a leading role.

Vinissimo wine cellar and José Antonio Catering delights were the perfect pairing for this final brooch.

Allegro, Music in Urban Spaces, is a new initiative of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar that has counted on the artistic direction and coordination of the pinatarense musician Agustín Fernández Rubio and whose objective is to transfer and to divulge the musical culture, while it invites to enjoy of the gastronomy and to know the history of the municipality through its most emblematic places.
