The Social Services Center today hosted the talk "Women and men: history of five generations", by Blanca Nieves Pérez Francia, retired teacher, and aimed at high school students in the town.
In this talk, which was attended by 4 ° B of the IES Manuel Tárraga Escribano and 3 ° A of IES Dos Mares, gender violence has been addressed through a story about five women of the same family, from 1860 until the present.
After reading each of the stories, the participants and the speaker have analyzed each of the situations in which mistreatment of women was present.
The speaker highlighted the impeccable behavior of the students, as well as their willingness to participate and their contributions throughout the presentation.
This activity is part of the program of activities of the City Council for the Commemoration of the International Day for the elimination of violence against women, which is celebrated on November 25.
