This show can be seen until January 12 and includes the Birth of Jesus in the manger with the wise men and the scene of a beggar asking for alms.
The Center for Tourist Initiatives hosts until January 12 a small exhibition composed of two scenes from the traditional Bethlehem by Miguel Torres Olmos from Pinar del Rio, such as "Pidiendo Posada" and the "Birth of Jesus in the manger with the Magi."
This composition has dimensions of 2.60 meters long and 1 meter high, is made mainly with porexpan, a light and moisture resistant material.
The figures, characterized by their great naturalness, are made of clay and ceramic paste and are the work of the prestigious workshops of Madrid artist José Luís Mayo Lebrija;
complete the scene various accessories and miniatures that give greater realism to the set as a fountain with water, and the use of different mirrors that give depth to the set.
Miguel Torres develops this hobby for years, participating in various competitions and exhibiting his work in different places in the region of Mar Menor and Murcia as Molina de Segura, Fuente Álamo, etc.
The Councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, thanked that every year, in a totally disinterested, collaborate with the Center for Tourism Initiatives with a sample of his great work, also contributing to spread the tradition of the region Nativity Scene.
The schedule to visit these small Nativity scene scenes at the Tourist Initiatives Center is from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 2 pm.
