The municipal tent located in the esplanade of Lo Pagán, hosted on the afternoon of Saturday, March 3, the inauguration of the XXXI Cultural Week of the Peña el Caldero.
Despite the inclemency of the weather, a large public gathered at the first act of the Cultural Week, which pays homage to the traditions and regional folklore.
After the performance of the titular group of the Peña and the official inauguration on the part of the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, the Reinas Mayor and Infantile and their Courts of Honor were chosen.
The Major Reign was composed by Daniela Garre Galindo as Reina and Noelia Nicolás Fernández and Nerea Mañogil Sánchez as Ladies, while in the Infantile Reign, the fortune smiled to Laura Esparza Albaladejo as Queen and to Nati Carmen Saura Navas and Irene Hernández Garrigos as Ladies .
Today Sunday at noon, in the San Juan hall of the town, the Gastronomic Days and the Member's Day are celebrated with dishes and desserts typical of the Region, the gastronomic contest, as well as bouncy castle and playground for the little ones and a Bingo with numerous gifts, as well as, the start of the traditional games championship.
The closing of the Cultural Week of the Peña El Caldero will be next Sunday, March 11 and will feature the performance of Pacifier Groups, Peques, Children's "El Pinar" and trophies.
