FCC and the City Council promote recycling with the Ecolimpia campaign (09/03/2018)

The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, accompanied by the provincial delegate of FCC in Alicante and Murcia, Fernando de Mateo, today delivered the Ecolimpia campaign awards, which this company has developed in collaboration with the City Council in schools Villa Alegría, Las Esperanzas, Los Antolinos, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Maspalomas and New Catelar College.

The mayor recalled that the objective of this awareness campaign on recycling is to generate awareness and attitudes in schoolchildren about the importance of correctly separating the different types of packaging.

For his part, Fernando de Mateo has stressed the importance of this type of campaign, an ideal tool to inform, raise awareness and generate awareness and attitudes among school children and has highlighted the level of the drawings presented.

The campaign consisted of an informative talk in the centers about how to reduce waste, the types of waste, how to separate them, their destination and the environmental benefits of recycling.

The first prize, endowed with a tablet for the student and another for the

school center, has been for Edgar Iglesias Cañadas (cbm Villa Alegría).

While the second prize, a bicycle, went to Ezequiel Pérez Samper (cbm Los Antolinos) and the third prize, a sound tower, was for Noelia Nicolás Fernández (cbm Villa Alegría).
