Police Special Unit Tutor San Pedro del Pinatar is taking place during the first quarter of this school year, several talks at schools and institutes of the municipality to explain to young people what is civic education and thus encourage their involvement in the volunteering.
These talks, which are conducted in collaboration with volunteer associations in the municipality, work social skills acquisition skills to encourage involvement, participation and assertiveness among young people.
In this activity, developed with students in fifth and sixth grade and high school, students explained what they consist of partnerships and the tasks being performed within them.
The unit changes each year the content of the talks, than last year focused on the twentieth anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and this course has been chosen civic education, to commemorate the European Year of Volunteering .
To this end, have participated in Red Cross talks associations; Aideman, who works with people with physical, mental or sensory AFEM, which develops its work affected by mental illness, Adapt, formed by angloparlantes and has for social, and Ken Sakiais Dikela, which addresses the issue of immigration, focusing on the Gypsy.
Since its inception in 2008-2009, Tutor Police Unit has established a schedule of talks and activities for children and youth dynamics, with the aim of involving local police in the educational community.
