Gisbert discover the secrets of "The Architect and the Emperor of Arabia" to 300 youth in the municipality (23/11/2010)

The author of young adult literature today has talked with students in second ESO institutes and Manuel Dos Mares Tárraga Escribano about his latest work, at a meeting included in the development of municipal Reading Plan.

Legends of the Far East, the ambitions of imperial power and the genius of the ancient artists today have focused talk that the writer Joan Manuel Gisbert, who presented his book "The Architect and the Emperor of Arabia" to the 300 students ESO second municipality.

Students have received this paper after working the work in several teaching sessions, where they discussed the plot, characters and narrative, and develop parallel activities such as creating murals and models inspired by locales portrayed in the novel.

This action is part of the local Reading Plan, which since March has developed a variety of entertainment and activities for promoting reading among children and youth in the municipality.

So Gisber has been received this morning for over three hundred pupils aged between 13 and 14 years of both public institutions in the municipality.

The author has started the conversation by unveiling the origin of the story, rescued from chronicles of ancient civilizations and is the confrontation between power, embodied in the emperor Arabic, and the genius of the artist, reflected in the architect.

Gisbert explained to the young and the old emperors sought, before his death, to build beautiful and monumental works that made them be remembered forever.

In an impassioned speech, the author has described various legends in which the artists performing these great works as the ultimate prize received death at the hands of rulers who tried to avoid to perform a most beautiful building in charge.

The students have shown participatory and have questioned the author about his beginnings in the literature, its work process and the concerns that led him to devote himself to writing.
