Press Release IPR 16/07/2011 (16/07/2011)

As promised DPI spokesman Jose Antonio Albaladejo Lucas at the plenary session of the takeover, the three representatives of PINATARENSE Democracy (IPD) are conducting a serious and responsible opposition, supporting the motions they consider necessary and positive development San Pedro del Pinatar and voting against issues that do not seem logical, as the absence of representatives of DPI in supervision of projects performed for municipal works and the Commonwealth Tourism del Mar Menor.

These bodies or any others that may be created aimed to boost infrastructure and tourism in our region in general and in San Pedro in particular should take advantage of all the possibilities that are possible, and schedule meetings where ideas discussed and put in underway for a better development in these areas should not exclude anyone in advance, as this can mean a loss of possibilities, all groups are represented can make a contribution municipal beneficial if you have first-hand information.

A recent study on the future development of the region of the Mar Menor says that our economy will depend increasingly on trade and tourism, which naturally improve our image will require more and better infrastructure, down to the finest detail attention to our visitors improving, creating or reopening Amenities for young people (as the area of the curve) and innovating our offerings to marmenorense attractive destination not only in the summer months, but throughout the year.

In that sense, and to work to improve our infrastructure, IPR has filed a motion to try to be discussed at the next full improvement and design of communications from the N - 332 in Los Saez to La Loma de Abajo and Lo Pagan, to improve the image of the entrance to our shores from Murcia and that pedestrian safety to pedestrians, and that that road has no sidewalks, which is certainly a danger for our neighbors and visitors and an unfortunate image that we must correct if we want to sell our people as a quality tourist destination.

We are aware that the economic situation does not allow excessive excesses, but it is precisely during times of crisis that should be used to schedule and the steps if they can start at zero cost.

Initiate these procedures allow us to make improvements approved without delay when economically feasible.

From DPI think that these improvements, and any other you may have provided our City Council must be made before initiating any type of advertising campaign that seeks to attract visitors to our town, as the current state of our beaches and infrastructure is not the most appropriate Tourism to get some, so we put our town on the most urgent, if not definitely want to lose the train of progress out of the current crisis.
