The City Council will begin the program with a tribute to all the mayors of the municipality on 16 September and be completed by educational and cultural activities that will run until year end
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, accompanied by the Councillor for Culture and Citizenship, Silvia Egea, and Education, Guadalupe García, today presented the program of events commemorating the 175th anniversary of Constitution Hall.
Visitation Martinez explained that next September 16th will be held from 18:00 hours, an official ceremony in the hall of the City Council which will honor the 64 mayors of the municipality and retrieve the certificate creation of the consistory, the same date of 1836.
In addition, the band Unión Musical de San Pedro del Pinatar offer a memorial concert at Constitution Square from 20:00.
The mayor explained that this act was created with the intention of being "a starting point to encourage all the citizens of San Pedro del Pinatar to participate in a program of activities designed to praise our local history and heritage and seeks emotional rescue exciting that spirit that brought us 175 years to the creation of a new City Hall. Martinez has said that the programming of the 175th anniversary of the City focuses on neighbors who are "the true architects of the town, its history and heritage."
