A total of 457 photographs on display at the Centre for Tourism Initiatives in San Pedro del Pinatar, collect images of wildlife, flora and the different habitats of the park of Las Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro, captured by fans and nature lovers that during the last ten years have participated in organized Photographic Journey by the Department of Tourism.

The Councillor of Tourism, Antonio Garcia, explained that the competition began in 2001 with the aim to raise awareness of environmental values ​​that owns the park, relying on the interpretation and environmental education for the conservation of this protected natural area.

It has also highlighted the great reception the last decade has this activity and quality of the photos has been increasing in successive editions.

Since the beginning of this activity 269 groups formed by 745 participants from the region and other communities have expressed their vision of the park from the objectives of their digital cameras, seeking the best approach to photographing some of the more than 65 species of birds, reptiles and mammals that inhabit this natural space, in addition to its native flora and landscape original frames.

The tenth edition of this journey began in June, and takes place every Saturday until December through a route that completely traverses the Path of The Coterillo and much of the Path of the weirs.

The Department of Tourism gives away all participants in a cap, shoulder strap, a park guide and a pen to take notes during the tour.
