The Research Institute on Aging, which will soon install an office in San Javier, will start next month course "Expert Caregiver of Older Persons" in the municipality.
This course is aimed at people interested in working in elderly care and home help as this degree is recognized by the University of Murcia as diplomas.
Among the topics to be discussed include theoretical: Methods of working with seniors, elderly feeding strategies, activities for healthy aging, first aid, prevention and consequences of falls, prevention of brain aging in elderly care and diabetes, among other .
The course, which begins on February 15 and lasts three months and 500 hours of classes, ending with a series of workshops on osteoporosis, tobacco control, advances in nutrition, sexuality in older, more frequent oral pathologies design of physical activities for the elderly.
The Institute on Aging, through the People's University, and has taught several courses on Geriatrics and Care Unit in San Javier, which have included training practice in nursing homes in the municipality.
