San Javier commitment to training to offer products and quality tourism services (21/11/2012)

The Centre for Tourism Initiatives in San Javier has welcomed today a conference on professional certification training to promote local tourism and visitor information

Councilman Employment and Training of San Javier, Antonio Garcia, Secretary General of CCOO in Murcia, Daniel Bueno and deputy director of Training and Employment Services Community (SEF), Juan Pedro Fernandez, today inaugurated the conference "Professional Certificate of Tourism Local and Visitor Information.

Professional English for Tourism ".

These sessions are intended to influence skills training in the tourism sector through this professional certificate and file a telematic tool professional English training for tourism, which has been developed as a pilot in the municipality.

The professional certificate local tourism promotion and information to visitors, implemented in the region, aims to improve the skills of workers in the tourism sector and that they have accredited training.

San Javier has hosted a pilot course, framed in this professional certificate, professional English for tourism through an innovative online tool.

Jobs Councilman noted that the City Council are developing various training initiatives aimed at professionals and unemployed tourism sector, one of the main economic engines of the municipality.

In this sense, Antonio Garcia has held that "you must find a distinct tourist destination, characterized by the diversity of services and business excellence that has to be matched by the skills of the employees in this sector."

Meanwhile, the deputy director of the SEF has stressed the importance of developing and expanding the training offered through electronic means, for the benefits that e-learning offers citizens, and praised the pilot project in San Javier.

The director general of the CCOO has considered that the regional tourism industry must become more competitive by offering differentiated services, with trained and certified workers to give material support to a wide and quality.

The conference will include an exhibition of English professional tool for tourism that has developed in the municipality, the accreditation process, guidance and monitoring, and a panel discussion that will address the future social partners in vocational training in the region.
