The Classroom Cajamurcia shows the achievements and history of 14 women math (05/03/2013)

The cultural classroom exposes Cajamurcia until March 18 the exhibition "Women Mathematics", which is part of the activities planned by the Department of Equality on the occasion of International Women's Day

The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez Councilwoman Equality, Guadalupe Garcia and Cajamurcia director in the town, Pedro Villa, today inaugurated the exhibition "Women Mathematics", on loan from the Museum of Science and Water and set out on the town to celebrate the International Women's Day.

This exhibition, which will remain in the town until March 18, consists of a series of panels in them explaining the mathematics achievement of 14 women, from the sixth century BC to the present, and also highlights the difficulties faced.

In addition, the exhibition includes math games through which visitors can discover the contributions of these women in this scientific field.

The mayor pointed out that this exhibition is part of the program of activities organized on the occasion of International Women's Day and this year wants to emphasize the path taken by women in various fields like science, or business, among others.

Meanwhile, Guadalupe Garcia, stressed the value and courage of women who are part of this exhibition, and indicated it will be open in the afternoon, but the morning was also made visits to schools that request .

The exhibition is showing at the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia, opposite Constitution Square, until 18 March.

The visiting hours are from 18:00 to 20:00.
