UPyD adds to the transparency measures of PP, in San Pedro del Pinatar (20/01/2014)

Finally we can proudly say that Spain has a Transparency Law.

Some may wonder how it was that no longer exist, including us.

Someone had to approve it and has been the Popular Party that has.

It may seem that does not have much relevance, but it can be a complete democracy, it is necessary to have the highest level of transparency possible.

Because the more monitoring, reporting and transparency, the more complicated it is to coexist corruption.

The law, which introduced the PP and Congress finally passed a little over a month ago, giving a period of two years to implement a host of measures to provide information to citizens.

It is noteworthy also that the new law affects both public administrations, as political parties, trade unions, the Bank of Spain or the Royal House (among others).

According to the undertaking by the People's Government Team San Pedro del Pinatar and as stated by the mayor of New Technologies, Álvaro Tárraga: "just be aware of the publication of Law, began working to implement it and hope to do even in the shortest time possible, we do so with a firm step and good and not evil and in a hurry. "

With this background, when UPyD filed a motion proposing some measures already contained in the law and declare support for the work being done by the Regional Assembly in this field, the Popular Party could only support those lists measures to be carried out in San Pedro.

Thus, and as a sign of commitment, while attempting to perform other actions, it was agreed to make public the 2014 budget and the salaries and allowances of councilors of the corporation.

However, it is curious that UPyD be manifested in favor of these measures, because the national party voted against the law.

We were glad to have had both their initiative and with the support of DPi and we would have liked both PSOE and Mrs. Mañogil have been consistent with his bogus narrative of struggle against corruption.

From the Popular Party will continue to work in favor of transparency.
