The Via Crucis Holy Wednesday, which are crossed in prayer the 14 Stations of the Passion of Jesus Christ and Calvary, gathered last night to hundreds of worshipers in the coastal village of Lo Pagan.

The image of Cristo del Mar Menor, Murcia work of sculptor Antonio Garcia Mengual, departed at 22:00 of the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, where the Via Crucis began to the chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption in Villananitos.

The Christ of the Mar Menor, carried by 40 shelves, does much of its route parallel to the sea, making it the only procession that takes place on the shores of the Mar Menor.
