The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez and the Councillor for Sports, Pedro Luis Vera, today presented the agenda of popular races to be held in the city between June and October.
Visitation Martinez recalled that last year 2,400 athletes participated in the various tests of popular athletics scheduled by the Department of Sports.
This agenda includes, in addition to the Sprint Triathlon Marina de Las Salinas held last April with 250 participants, racing Pinatar Full Moon Race and Correlimos 13.4, to be held in August and October respectively, in the environment of the Regional Park and the Pinatarius fun obstacle Obstaculum Cursus, an urban test set in ancient Rome and framed in the festivities.
The mayor stressed the commitment of the City by evidence developed in the natural environment Regional Park and the beaches of the Mediterranean, as an alternative to traditional street racing.
Sports events also contribute to the development and diversification of local tourism sector.
For his part, Councillor for Sports, Pedro Luis Vera, has praised the work done by the staff of this department, as well as federations, companies, associations and individuals who have contributed to the planning of these tests.

Registration is priced at five euros for children and 15 euros for absolute proof and includes accident insurance, timing, shirt, finisher medal, refreshment and a Roman barcacoa to regain strength.
Saturday August 1 the second edition of the Full Moon night race Pinatar, a test under a full moon which brought together 1147 participants last year will be held.
This test, included in the Running Circuit Challenge Murcia, will start and finish from the port Marina de Las Salinas, along the road of El Puerto, the perimeter road of the Regional Park to El Mojon Beach and Tower Demolished.
The Full Moon Race Pinatar also includes free children's evidence, from 20:00 hours.
The registration fee for absolute proof is 10 euros.
On October 4 the calendar closes with the third edition of the popular race Sandpiper, which takes place entirely in the environment of the Regional Park, also starting and finishing in the port of Las Salinas Marina and includes a 13.4 test and another 7.6 kilometers, plus free children's promotion races.
Enrollment in this race is 12 euros and includes, besides commemorative shirt, promotional gifts and tasting rice pot.
