The Sandpiper 13.4 brings together athletes of all ages in the natural park of Salinas and Arenales (04/10/2015)

The test has received more than 550 runners, 400 in the absolute proof of 13.4 and 7.6 kilometers, and around 150 children who participated in races Correlimos Kids.

The Marina port of Las Salinas has welcomed this morning, at 10:00, leaving the popular race Sandpiper, which has had a large share in its third edition held coinciding with the celebration of the World Day of Birds .

The test included two runs, one of 7.6 kilometers and over 13.4 kilometers in which the participants could enjoy the uniqueness of the landscape, through natural beaches, salt ponds, mills and hosiery Quentin, the weirs, or the mud baths of La Mota.

Also, the race was a technical challenge different surfaces to which participants have faced, from asphalt to sand and dirt through cobblestone.

In the test of 7.6 kilometers, the broker Alex Gonzalez Espinosa, with a time of 26 minutes 51 seconds, was the first to cross the finish line, followed by Alejandro Fernandez Cases (28 min 18 sec) and Martin Bastida Olmos (30 04seg min).

In the women this distance the winner was Pilar García Santos, with a time of 37 minutes 41 seconds, followed by Dolores Moñino (38 min 18seg) and Maria Gomez Bella (39 min 50 sec)

In the race of 13.4 kilometers the winner was Antonio Lorente Murcia, with a time of 48 min 02 sec, followed by Antonio Inista Square (48 min 50 sec) and Juan Alonso (50 min 16 sec).

In the women's first place winner was Olga Del Solar (1 hour 00 min 05 sec), followed by Ana Isabel Canovas Garcia in second position (1 h 00 min 33 sec) and Pilar Duarte Garcia in third place (1 h 02 min 05 sec).

Around 12:00 the role was for the little ones, who have competed in distances of 100, 650, 1,300 and 1,950 meters in the premises of the port Marina de Las Salinas where, after the awards ceremony, by the mayor, Visitation Martinez, the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez and Marina manager of Las Salinas, Domingo Macanás;
