The Institute for Youth in the Region of Murcia, through the "Nueve.e ', has organized a meeting in San Pedro del Pinatar, to promote youth participation, attended today a total of 200 students in Secondary education institutes Abarán, Alhama de Murcia, Beniel, Cartagena, Cehegín, Lorca, Mazarron, Murcia, Pliego, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera and Torre Pacheco.
The 'Nueve.e' aims to promote values of active citizenship by young people in the Region of Murcia, through activities that participants themselves organize, manage and set up.
Thus, for the day today in San Pedro students developed the actions undertaken, including workshops for crafts, games, a gymkhana and a symposium on urban significant activities of the 'Nueve.e'.
The main novelty of this program is the methodology used, as it invites him to participate from the practice of activities, so they can learn while involved in them.
Through youth facilitators, participants will organize the program, plan and develop with the aim of gradually achieving more independent in their decision making.
This project has been operating for three years.
For 2008-2009 are 20 participating locations in the project with a total of 600 young people who work in it actively and directly.
