The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Directorate General of Tourism, spent a total of 150,000 euros for the creation of the Centre for Tourism Initiatives in San Pedro del Pinatar which opened today, action plan framed by the Sea Excellence Minor, and in collaborating the Ministry, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Commonwealth Tourism Mar Menor and the local council.
This is a modern building with innovative design and aesthetic integrated into the environment, simulating the famous mountains of salt, typical of the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar, which will reinforce the commitment to distinguish the destination 'Mar Menor' in benchmark of quality national and international level.
Tourism Initiatives Center has a floor area of 410 square meters, distributed in hall, the public service area, storage, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and a large basement of 1,200 square meters.
Excellence Plan del Mar Menor
Excellence Plan del Mar Menor has invested a total of 2,850,000 euros, of which the Autonomous Community has invested 600,000 euros.
The almost three million have been distributed in actions taken between the four towns of Mar Menor, that is, Cartagena, Los Alcazares, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar, and various actions aimed at improving the quality of services that tourist destination offers.
The actions taken include the construction of two bike lanes in San Javier and Los Alcazares, with a total length of 16 kilometers, the enhancement of public spaces and the construction of a Nautical School Sports in Cartagena, the implementation of the system Quality Tourist Destinations in 26 companies in the area, and other measures to promote the destination.
