The voice of the youth of San Pedro will be heard from now through the newly created Council of the youth of San Pedro del Pinatar, which was presented today at the Youth House.
Chaired by Álvaro Martínez Albaladejo, the Council is composed of 10 associations representing more than 4,000 young people of San Pedro.
This is a public corporation private sector basis with legal personality and capacity to meet their own ends, which are, above all, promote the participation of local youth in the political, social, economic and cultural development of the municipality.
Young people and youth of San Pedro have a voice through this body, especially on issues that directly affect them and rule on public service projects.
The Youth Council is made up of San Pedro ten associations of township youth: Youth Association Mar Menor, Majabuka Association, Friendship Association, Red Cross Youth, Fourt Art Association, Young Socialists, the Popular Party Generations, Barraca Young and Youth Association Solidarity.
The Youth Council is directly to 900 young people from the municipality and indirectly to more than 4,000.
The headquarters office and is currently at the Youth House, and soon the council will yield a space in the Hotel Association, to be located in the Leisure and Recreation in San Pedro, which is scheduled for after the summer .

Among his first initiatives, the Council intends to organize an exhibition of youth organizations and a campaign to encourage youth participation and partnership.
The new line is proposed to encourage public authorities to take necessary measures concerning the promotion of youth associations and youth participation in San Pedro.
Also collaborate with the City in conducting studies, reporting and promotion campaigns related to issues of youth interest.
It will be a full member of the Youth Council of the Region of Murcia.
