The registered unemployment in the municipality in the month of April is located in 1,871 unemployed, what supposes a reduction of 115 unemployed, a 5.79%, with respect to the month of March.
The number of unemployment in April in San Pedro del Pinatar has been 1,871 unemployed, which is a reduction of 115 unemployed compared to March and 116 unemployed over the same month of 2017.
Councilman Employment, José Fernández Andreo, stressed that it is the best month of April since 2009, a very significant fact, taking into account that the population of the town has increased by 1,631 inhabitants in this period.
Unemployment has declined in all age sectors, mainly among people between 25 and 44 years old, with 71 fewer unemployed, while by activity sectors, services are where it has fallen the most, with 88 fewer unemployed.
With regard to the data on social security affiliation in March (the last month for which municipalized data are available), the number stood at 7,227 affiliates, which means an increase of 292 contributors compared to February, and 339 over the previous year.
Councilman Employment has highlighted the positive trend of employment data "as evidenced by the uninterrupted year-on-year decline in unemployment and the increase in Social Security affiliates for more than four years."
