The councilman of Sports, Javier Castejón, and the person in charge of volleyball of the council, Paula Carrión, have presented the third edition of the Villananitos Beach Volleyball Championship.
The mayor of Sports has highlighted the consolidation of this tournament and the sports beach in Villananitos, a new space that the City Council is enhancing in the coastal area and which makes it possible to make bathers use sports.
He also thanked the collaboration of Angelus Pizza and the Kilo y Medio Supermarket, as well as the local volleyball club, Belich Beach Volleyball Club San Pedro del Pinatar.
Paula Carrión has indicated that the objective of this event is to demonstrate that beach volleyball is not just a summer sport and that the beaches of the municipality have the ideal conditions to practice this sport without depending on seasonality.
The championship will be held on the beach of Villananitos, next to the yacht club, on Sunday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will have more than six beach volleyball courts.
As in previous years, the championship has had a great success of call and there are already more than 80 people registered, so this year has extended the day to morning and afternoon.
