A total of 15 students of the Youth Guarantee program of San Pedro del Pinatar are taking the course "Auxiliary operations of restaurant-bar", given by the Spanish Red Cross within the Operative Youth Employment Program.
These young people will now begin the training practices of the course in local restaurants.
The theoretical-practical classes, which began on April 2, were held at the 'La Veleta Restaurant' in the Lo Pagán Yacht Club, and have obtained the title of food handler at the same time as the Basic Service certificate of Restaurant Bar.
In addition, the young people have been able to count as a trainer with Ángela Marulanda, Spanish Champion of Heads of Chambers, waitress of the year 2018 held at the Food Fair 2018 in Barcelona, and regional champion of Heads of Chamber of the Region of Murcia.
Councilman Employment, José Fernández, recalled the high percentage of students who found work thanks to this same course last year, despite the difficulty with which they have, mainly due to their lack of experience in the workplace.
