The marina of Las Salinas hosted this weekend the I Open of Sport Fishing in anchored vessel 'La Marina Mercante', organized by La Boutique del Navegante, with the collaboration of Marina de Las Salinas, the Fisheries Federation of the Region and the City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar.
The day, which brought together about thirty participants in nine vessels, began at 7:30 am and ended at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, with the weighing of the catches, which were donated to a charity association, and the delivery of trophies, by the organizer of the event, Manuel Franco, the Councilor for Sports, Javier Castejón, and on behalf of the Fisheries Federation, Federico Gómez.
The winning boat was the 'Brian Aileen', with 10.7 kilos captured, followed by the 'Castilviejo' (6.8 kg) and the 'Kiki' (5 kg).
On an individual level, the winner was Manuel Madrid, with 6.8 kg captured and who also fished the largest piece, a 1.21 kg breca.
The second classified was José Carlos Clares (2.71 kg) and Juan David Avellaneda third (2.3 kg).
