The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Sports, Javier Castejón, received this week the young canoeist Pablo Francisco Sánchez Palacios, to congratulate him for the great season he is carrying out, with a multitude of successes in national and international competitions.
Thus, Pablo Francisco Sánchez, has recently obtained the silver in the K1 cadet category in 1,000 meters in the Spanish Cup 'Young promises', played in Trasona (Asturias) in May, also obtained silver in the European championship in K1 cadet and bronze in the World Championship in the same category, thus obtaining a place for the Youth Olympic Games.
The next challenges of this young 16-year-old canoeist are the sprint championship 'Young Promises', which will be held on July 28 and 29 in Trasona and the big international event in October at the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.
