A large sardine crowned by typical elements of the municipality, such as a salt mill or flamenco, is the main reason for this year's sculptural group, which will burn on the night of San Juan, and which is located on Calle Mayor José María Tárraga, in the vicinity of the new fairground.
This bonfire is a tribute to the festivities of Primavera and the Burial of La Sardina, after San Pedro del Pinatar was this year the municipality of Arrival of this festival.
Thus, this set, prepared by Valencian Fallas masters, recreates the image of the poster announcing the Arrival of the Sardine to San Pedro del Pinatar, a multitudinous party that gathered thousands of people in the streets of the town.
The municipal fire, which will be burned on June 23 at midnight, is an initiative of the Festival Committee that has been sponsored by a total of 80 local businesses and businesses.
