A total of 40 boats of Latin, classic and vintage sail will meet this weekend in the fifth edition of Mar Menor Classic Sailing, which will have the Lo Pagan fishing pier as a "village" and floating museum during these days.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, attended the inauguration of this fair together with the organizer of the event, Andrés Sánchez, representatives of the Sailing Federation, of Nautical Clubs of the Mar Menor , of the Tourism Institute of the Region and of other civil and military institutions.
The V edition of Classic Sailing, which will be held from June 22 to 24, will boost the environment of the Mar Menor and offer an extra boost to nautical tourism, as it will bring together about 40 boats of this type.
In addition to 10 boats that, in the category of classics, will meet at the Puerto Deportivo Tomas Maestre.
Throughout the weekend more than 200 crew from different parts of the Mediterranean will meet in the different races organized in the framework of this event.
