The tradition of the fire on the night of San Juan brought together hundreds of neighbors around the bonfire prepared next to the new fairground, in the street mayor José María Tárraga.
A large sardine crowned by typical elements of the municipality, such as a salt mill or flamenco, was the sculptural group made by Valencian Fallas masters that burned at midnight surrounded by hundreds of neighbors who did not want to miss the show.
In addition, the local mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez, the president of the Sardineros, José Antonio Sánchez, members of the municipal corporation, Festival Commission, and Reigns of the Patron Saint Festivals attended the burning.
The municipal bonfire, initiative of the Festival Commission, has had the sponsorship of 80 local businesses and businesses and has been a tribute to the Spring Festival and the Burial of La Sardina, after San Pedro del Pinatar was this year the municipality of Arrival of this party.
