San Pedro del Pinatar, with more than 13 kilometers of coastline in the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, will count this year with a blue flag on the beach of El Mojón, a distinctive that revalidates for the third year in a row.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor for Tourism, Silvia Egea, have hoisted the blue flag on this beach today, located in a unique natural environment, bordering the regional park of Salinas and Arenales.
In addition, the Las Salinas interpretation center and Marina de las Salinas Marina will also wear the badge.
The Blue Flag, awarded by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), is an award for the environmental quality of beaches and ports that rewards the compliance of standards in terms of bathing water quality, information and environmental education , environmental management and security, services and facilities.
