The Department of Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, together with the Autonomous Community, has scheduled about thirty cultural activities during the months of July and August.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Silvia Egea, presented today at a press conference the cultural program for the summer 2018, which takes place in the months of July and August in the town, mainly in the coastal area but also including other spaces.
Thus, in the area of ​​concerts and entertainment, the program kicks off this weekend with the twenty-third edition of the San Pedro del Pinatar Flamenco Festival, which is held in the Aduana park with performances by 'El Cabrero', Lole Montoya, Antonio Vargas 'Potito' and Alba Heredia.
On the other hand, the scenario of the renovated park of the Sea Kings of Spain will host various free performances of various musical styles, which will begin on Friday, July 27, with Abba Memory Tours 77-80 and continue on Sunday 29 with the concert "An orchestra of cinema ", by the young Orchestra of the Northwest of Murcia.
In the month of August it will be the turn of the homage to Mecano "Barco a Venus", on Friday 10, which will be followed by the tribute to the Canto del Loco "Dlocos", on the 16th and 24th of August the show "In vivo" will take place , the four tenors Lyric Pop ".
In addition, a new edition of the theater festival "Sal de calle" will be held from August 1 to 3, with street theater performances in squares and streets of the urban center of San Pedro and Lo Pagán.
In the exhibition section, the Art Space of the House of Culture hosts until August 4 "San Pedro paints a lot", a collective exhibition of the students of the local art workshop, and from August 10 to 31 "In Around Las Salinas ", an exhibition by the artist Miguel Torralba.

These soirees will begin on Thursday, July 26, centered on humor literature, on Thursday, August 9 will focus on the erotic novel, and on August 23 will conclude with the black novel as the protagonist.
These activities are completed with the program "Mar Menor, more culture than you imagine", promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which includes movies on the beach of Villananitos every Wednesday from July 18 to August 15;
shows like a piano concert on the beach of La Puntica on Sunday, August 12, and "Equilibrium" by Maria Cavagnero, on August 8.
For the youngest children, the storytellers "The forest has no one to cure it" and "The suitcase of the stories" will be made on August 10 and 17, respectively, on the Paseo de la Puntica.

This program is completed with guided gastronomic visits in the fishermen's fraternity on July 28 and August 11 and a gastronomic workshop in the bakery José Antonio on the elaboration of the dove cake.
