This popular gymkhana brought together 60 couples in its first edition, which added to this fun competition in which they had to find 20 small flamingos hidden in emblematic places of the town.
The square of the Constitution hosted the night of Wednesday, July 25, the departure of the I Flaminkana, a popular gymkhana, organized by the councils of Sports, Celebrations and Youth, in which the 60 participating couples had to find flamingos hidden in different points of the municipality, which contained prizes between 1 and 200 euros.
To find the small 'treasures', all couples had a street map and a file with clues to locate the 20 points where these rewards were hidden, among which were buildings such as the City Hall, the Center for Tourist Initiatives, the Museum Baron de Benifayó, the Youth Hostel or the churches of the Trinity and Our Lady of Carmen.
Natural spaces were also included, such as the path of Los Tarays, the Regional Park or the beach of Villananitos, and recently built sites such as the Fairground.
Participants had two hours to complete the entire course and was awarded 150 euros in addition to the couple who arrived before the finish line, completing the entire route of the 20 places indicated.
In addition, 100 euros were raffled among all couples who passed by 11 or more points within the two regulatory hours.
